In open class company Texas Hold Em has finished sixth in the UNITED FISHERIES LTD SUMMER CUP at Addington today. From a favourable three draw Tex was sluggish out of the gates and found himself towards the rear of the field early in the race. He sat back there patiently and waited for his opportunity. A very slow third quarter by the leaders made it difficult for Texas Hold Em to gain significant ground as the field sprinted in the last quarter but once in the clear Tex fought on well and appeared to be making ground on the front runners. In his comeback race and in atrocious conditions Texas Hold Em has finished third in the CHRISTCHURCH CASINO HANDICAP PACE at Addington tonight. Starting off a 10m handicap, Tex stepped away nicely although he had to dodge slower horses in front which held him up for a few metres. After settling down Texas Hold Em found himself midfield where he sat for most of the race. With just under a lap to go he was moved off the pegs to the one out three back position. Approaching the home turn he was positioned well in the middle of the track and ran on stoutly to pick up the third place money. A satisfactory return to racing and all connections will be hoping he pulls up fit and well. Race results here. |

Texas Hold Em will line up in the CHRISTCHURCH CASINO HANDICAP PACE at Addington this Friday night. Tex will start off a 10m handicap and will start from number 2 on the second line. The race gets underway 8.23pm and is race number 6 on the programme. Good luck Met 4! |

After an enforced seven month layoff, Texas Hold Em (Met 4) is set to make a return to racing. Details are yet to be confirmed but it is likely he will line up next Friday night at Addington. Tex will be looking to add to his seven career wins and earnings of over $100,000. |
