The Met Syndicates are run on behalf of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club. The Club is an authorised Syndicator under the Code of Practice regulating Standardbred Syndication which is authorised by Harness Racing New Zealand.

Being a member of a Harness Racing Syndicate is cheap and fun way to enjoy the thrill of horse ownership.

You have the opportunity to meet a lot of new people and experience first hand the fantastic sport of Harness Racing.

Each Syndicate generally starts with three horses which are purchased from the Yearling Sales. Each Syndicate has 50 members each of whom pay an up front fee which contributes to the purchase of the horses. A very reasonable monthly instalment is then required to cover training, feeding etc. If your horses perform well, you will benefit from their efforts.

In 2011, Met Seven became the latest Syndicate to be set up and a decision on the 2012 Syndicate is likely to be made soon.
