Western Flare has not had the happiest return to racing after finishing tenth in the THURSDAY NIGHT PICK SIX $50,000 CLOSES 8.12PM MOBILE PACE at Addington last night. He settled back in the pack early in the race and really failed to make any impact at any stage. Midway through the race Flare found himself four back on the rail and waited out his time to attack. As the field swung into the home straight Western Flare remained in the middle of the pack and eventually faded to tenth place. Race results here. Race video here. |
| Back to the drawing board for Cullen Speed |

Unfortunately Cullen Speed was unable to turnaround his form and struggled to an 8th and 10th place at Nelson last weekend. Unable to find a sprint when needed, Speed has not been able to finish off races strongly which has made it tough to place particularly when back in the field. There are a couple of upcoming races available to Cullen Speed to try to get things back on track and whether he starts in those will be confirmed soon. After a disappointing ninth in his last start Cullen Speed is looking for improvement as he heads to Nelson this weekend. Speed will line up on Friday in the sixth race on the programme and has drawn 7 on the front row. The draw has not done him any favours and he will need to be at the top of his game if he is to break through for his first career win. To date Cullen Speed has managed two minor placings from thirteen starts. |
| Cullen Speed finishes fourth |

Cullen Speed yesterday finished fourth in the RX PLASTICS 3YO MOBILE PACE run at Addington yesterday. Speed started well and soon found himself at the front of the field. He maintained that position for the majority of the race and heading for home looked strong. Unfortunately he couldn't finish off the deal and eventually had to settle for fourth place. | Tough day for Cullen Speed |

Cullen Speed finished at the rear of the field in the NORFOLK MOTORS MOBILE PACE at Timaru yesterday. Speed got away only fairly at the start and his bid to move to the front unfortunately saw him trapped three wide as they passed the winning post for the first time. He then had to use a fair bit of energy to eventually settle facing the breeze. Race results here. Race video here. |
